These Heart-Shaped Rice Crispy Treats are not only adorable but also incredibly easy to make! With a soft, chewy texture, a fun pop of pink color, and whole mini marshmallows peeking through, these treats are a delightful twist on the classic childhood favorite.

Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows (reserve 1 cup for mixing in whole)
- 5 cups crispy rice cereal
- Pink gel food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter
- Non-stick spray or butter (for greasing)
Instructions:
1. Prepare Your Tools:
- Grease a 9×13-inch pan and the heart-shaped cookie cutter with butter or non-stick spray. This will make shaping and cutting easier.
2. Melt the Marshmallows:
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the mini marshmallows (except for the reserved 1 cup) and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.

3. Add Color and Flavor:
- Stir in the vanilla extract (optional) and a few drops of pink gel food coloring until you reach your desired shade of pink.
4. Mix in the Cereal:
- Remove the pot from the heat and immediately stir in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.
- Gently fold in the reserved whole mini marshmallows for pops of marshmallowy texture.

5. Press and Shape:
- Transfer the mixture to the greased 9×13-inch pan. Use a buttered spatula or wax paper to press it evenly into the pan. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Once slightly set but still pliable, use the greased heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes.

6. Optional Decoration:
- For extra flair, drizzle melted white chocolate or add festive sprinkles on top of the hearts.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
- Arrange the hearts on a plate, and serve as a fun, festive treat!

Tips:
- For a fluffier texture, reduce the cereal to 4 ½ cups.
- You can wrap the hearts individually in cellophane for gifting!
